I hardly know where to begin! The Blessing of the Garden this weekend was a time of great joy! Many thanks to Jamie, Trish and Camille who planned and organized this event to kick off our 15th year at the Giving Garden! Every year we have more and more to celebrate!

If you weren’t there, you missed some delicious brunch items like cinnamon and sugar tiny donuts, fresh fruit kabobs, mini muffins, little powdered sugar delights, chocolate somethings that melted in your mouth, sausage balls, cookies and small cinnamon rolls! Whew!

Our minister who guides us in our mission, Carlisle, opened with prayer. Marie, our MC for the morning, did a wonderful job explaining our ministry and introducing our speakers. Sam from Franklin Community Center and Susan from the Heimerdinger Foundation, two of our partners who shared their stories with us. We are so blessed to share our produce with these two ministries which bring fresh produce to those who are in great need.

Our guests then had an opportunity to visit all the areas of our Giving Garden and pray for them….the flower and herb gardens, God’s Little Acre, Field’s 1-5, the hoop houses, and the greenhouse. Some volunteers planted 4 beds of lettuce, around 540 plants.
