Welcome to this week’s Sunday School at home!  We encourage you to watch these videos, do the activities, and lead family discussions about this week’s topics in addition to watching our livestream service at home.  Sunday School lessons don’t have to be on Sunday!  Find a time that works best for your schedule.  Perhaps you can incorporate this month’s memory verse in your learning at home time!  Want to share what you’re doing?  Post pictures using #AtHomeWithFFUMC or #FFUMCInMyJammies .

HOW TO WORSHIP AT HOME

Worshipping at home is a new experience for all of us!  Do your kids need some tips to stay focused during the service?  Here are some ideas:

*Read through this Worship Guide for Kids for ideas to actively engage your child during the service.  This includes describing what is happening and giving your kids physical tasks to incorporate during worship.

*For younger children, here is this week’s children’s bulletin.  They can fill it out during the service.

3+ Children’s Bulletin Option 1

3+ Children’s Bulletin Option 2

7+ Children’s Bulletin Option 1

7+ Children’s Bulletin Option 2

*For older children, here is a Sermon Notes Guide. This guides their listening and comprehension during the sermon and service.

We encourage you to gather together as a family and worship each Sunday morning.  If your child does not regularly attend worship service, this is a great way to introduce them!  Want to extend our worship components throughout the week?  Consider these options: *Memorize The Lord’s Prayer as a family.  *Memorize The Apostles’ Creed as a family.  *After the service, talk with your family and create a “Question of the Week”.  Prominently display it your house and answer/discuss it throughout the week.

We can’t wait to see you all in person soon, but know we are all connected by God’s love.  We are all with you during this time…and pray that we all feel God’s peace.

We can DO MORE TOGETHER to make a difference in the life of every child. First Kids partners with families to help children discover who Jesus is and develop a relationship with Him that is real and personal.

Sunday School

We believe every child is made in the image of God to love God with all their heart, soul and strength and trust Jesus for a better future.

The Orange curriculum engages children through wonder, discovery, and passion to come alongside parents with resources to carry faith-filled teaching and life into the week.

Nursery & Preschool

Children ages 0-PreK can attend First Kids at 8:45, 10 & 11:15 a.m. Our youngest disciples are cared for in a loving, play-centered environment. A Bible story is introduced every week for ages two and older. A typical class will include play time, snack, story time and games.

Kindergarten – 4th Grade

Elementary children have the option of attending Sunday School at 10 . Each week kids engage in worship, study and practical ways to apply God’s Word through small group interaction. Throughout the year they’ll also have opportunities to discover and grow in their relationship with God through retreats, choirs and other fun social events.

Tweens – 5th & 6th Grades

Our unique 5th & 6th grade group is designed to provide a fun environment for kids to build relationships with one another and serve others while growing in their faith. These two grades have unique social events, retreats and classes to create friendship bonds that will last as they move into youth. Sunday school is offered each week at 10. For additional information about Tweens Ministry, contact Katie Yommer.

Check-In

First Kids uses and electronic check-in for our children’s program. This process provides children a nametag with their name and a security code that matches the security code tickets provided to their parents or guardians. As you drop your child off at their classroom this security code will be recorded. Then as parents return to pick up their children, we confirm that the security code of the parent or guardian is a match with the child they are picking up. There are multiple volunteers at check-in areas to help you with this process.
