Franklin First UMC is diverse in both age and style. Whether you show up very casual or in a suit, our focus is on worshiping Christ and growing as disciples, not on what you are wearing. We encourage you to dress in a way that you are comfortable and not distracted by appearance, so that you are able to worship and be in Bible study with the attention and focus on honoring God.
If you are attending the Franklin First UMC Main Campus at Mack Hatcher, we have plenty of parking in the lots surrounding our main building. Our parking lot crew is at the ready to help direct you to our guest parking areas, or feel free to park anywhere you’d like.

If you are attending the Franklin First UMC Historic Sanctuary at 5th Avenue, you may use any of the public parking that surrounds the building. If these areas are full, you may use the parking garage on 4th Avenue, directly next to the courthouse and across from Puckett’s Restaurant.

The Accessible Congregation Committee strives to make Franklin First UMC a barrier-free church. We work to insure that our facilities and programs are available to everyone. Over the years we have helped to make available large print hymnals and bulletins and hearing devices for our sanctuary. We have helped with some small adaptations to make our facilities more convenient for the mobility impaired.

The Accessible Congregation Committee has sponsored Disability Awareness services at church and Sunday School in order to educate our congregation about the contributions our differently-abled members bring to us. We are especially proud of our Special Friends program – volunteers who attend Sunday School with children and youth who need assistance to participate fully and safely.

If you or someone you know needs assistance to attend church, Sunday School or other Franklin First UMC activities, contact Nancy Garrison, 615-794-3412, or Jill Johnson, 615-791-9669.
