Hospitality

We place a high value on our Hospitality Teams to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels right at home. On any given Sunday morning, you’ll encounter a variety of friendly faces ready to make your experience special—from our Greeters offering warm welcomes at every entrance, to our Ushers ensuring you’re comfortably seated, to our Welcome Desk Team answering questions and helping you get connected. Beyond Sunday, our Good Vibes Team takes hospitality into the community and throughout the church, spreading positivity through acts of kindness and service wherever they go. Together, these groups embody our mission of creating spaces where worship and connection thrive.

Congregational Care

There are times when you need someone—to listen, to be present, to be an advocate. At Franklin First UMC, our Congregational Care and Creation Care ministries share a common purpose: offering support, connection, and hope in meaningful ways. The Congregational Care Ministry’s mission is to provide personal and compassionate care for individuals and families during life’s challenges, while Creation Care invites us to find solace and renewal in the beauty of God’s creation, reminding us of the interconnectedness of all life. Together, these ministries reflect our commitment to being present for one another and for the world around us.

First Kids Children’s Ministry

At Franklin First UMC, we believe our children are integral to the life of our church, and we invite you to be part of their journey as they discover and learn more about God in fun and meaningful ways. Our Children’s Ministry offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, including teaching during Sunday morning classes, shepherding small groups to help guide their activities, and assisting with special events like Vacation Bible School or seasonal celebrations. Please note that serving in our Children’s Ministry may require a background check and completion of Safe Sanctuary training, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children we serve. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the next generation!

415 Youth Team

415 Youth focuses on building and maintaining relationships, creating a space where young people feel they truly belong—where they are accepted and loved for who they are and discover the important role they play in God’s greater story. Volunteering with 415 Youth is a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of teens. Opportunities include leading small groups, mentoring, chaperoning events and trips, helping with Sunday night gatherings, or assisting with special events like retreats and mission projects. Please note that serving with our youth may require a background check and Safe Sanctuary training to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Join us in shaping the next generation through connection, encouragement, and faith!

Adult Discipleship Ministry

Adult Discipleship at Franklin First UMC offers a wide range of opportunities for spiritual growth and connection, from Sunday school classes and mid-week small groups to ministry with older adults and more. If you feel called to serve in Adult Discipleship, there are many ways to get involved by teaching or leading—whether facilitating a Sunday school class, leading a Bible study, hosting a small group, or mentoring others in their faith journey. These roles provide a chance to share your gifts, deepen your faith, and help others grow in theirs. Together, we can create a supportive, Christ-centered community for adults at every stage of life.

Music Ministry

Our Music Ministry is designed to help lead others in worship and glorify Christ through song and music. We offer a variety of opportunities for all ages, from children’s choirs to adult worship teams and instrumental ensembles. Whether you have a passion for singing or playing an instrument, there’s a place for you to contribute and grow in your faith through music. Volunteers can serve in one of our choirs, join a worship team, or participate in seasonal events like concerts or special worship services. If you have a love for God and a heart for music, we invite you to join us in making a joyful noise to the Lord!

Worship Team

Our Worship Teams are an essential part of creating meaningful worship experiences at Franklin First UMC. Serving in a variety of roles, our teams help lead worship through communion, scripture reading, acolyting, serving in the tech booth, designing stage sets and altar scapes, and much more. These volunteers are dedicated to enhancing the worship experience by thinking creatively about what it means to come together as a community in praise and reverence. If you’re passionate about contributing to our worship services in a meaningful way, we invite you to join one of our teams and help shape an inspiring atmosphere of worship.
