Call to Confession:
Liturgist: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. And the Savior is generous and gentle with us. Let us therefore boldly confess our sins before God and one another as together we pray:
Prayer of Confession:
Congregation: God of the past, present and future, we confess that we put ourselves first and trust in things that will not last. We choose evil and push the good aside. Be gracious to us in spite of our great sin. Teach us to love your justice and share in your mercy, for all of time. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon:
Liturgist: Hear this good news! Your confessions are met with forgiveness. God is forgiving and God does not change. Therefore, I declare to you that in the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
Congregation: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
All: Glory to God. Amen.
