Call to Confession:
Leader: Christ our Lord invites to his table all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another. Therefore, let us confess our sins before God and one another.
Prayer of Confession:
Congregation: Merciful God, you have called us to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, but far too often we have sought our own kingdoms and failed to live holy and righteous lives. Forgive us, we pray, and fix our attention once again on the way of Jesus Christ, the way that leads to life.
Assurance of Pardon:
Leader: In the name of Jesus Christ you are forgiven!
