We have some native grass and flower seeds that we NEED to get planted. There are two areas that we need to prep in order to put down these seeds. We hope that we can get an elite group to help with this on Saturday, April 27th.
We are looking for privet pullers, loppers and chain sawers to remove about a 10x10 ft. area of privet on the northwest bank of Berry's Chapel Branch just beyond our Champion Bur Oak, as well as getting some berry bushes cut back, and some overgrowth mowed. We hope to get to tilling that area that day as well. The other area, where we need to till (using a rear tine tiller on loan from the Giving Garden, but requiring some muscle to run and steer it), is at the southeast side of Berry's Chapel Branch in the riparian buffer that meets the field. If anyone can spare some time on Saturday the 27th between 9 and noon, we could sure use and appreciate the help. Please RSVP, if we can count on you.
