Franklin First UMC will hold a Charge Conference with District Superintendent Vona Wilson presiding on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 6:00 PM in Asbury Hall, to consider approval for a partnership with the Franklin Farmers Market.
Two primary items will be considered and up for approval: (1) the Farmers Market constructing a pavilion on Franklin First’s Main Campus for which the Farmers Market will raise the funds and build, but that will be owned by the church and (2) a long-term lease agreement by which the Farmers Market would rent the space used for their weekly Saturday markets.
This is the culmination of nearly a year of conversations among the Farmers Market and Franklin First UMC’s congregation and leadership. While only Church Council members may vote at a Charge Conference, anyone is welcome to attend. Following the business of the Charge Conference, the Church Council will conclude the evening with its second quarterly meeting of 2024.
