Prayer of Confession:
All: Merciful God, we confess we have strayed from your ways. You gave us this earth as our home, but we squander earth’s resources. You gave us neighbors to love, but we pursue selfish ambitions. You gave us the commandments to follow but we break your law. Forgive us our sin and bring us to repentance. Draw our wandering hearts back to you. Through Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon:
Liturgist: When we turn our eyes on Jesus and confess our sins, we find forgiveness. Therefore I declare to you in the name of Jesus Christ you are forgiven!
