Call to Confession:
Leader: When we call upon the name of the Lord, our prayers are heard. Our Lord meets our brokenness with love and mercy, and so we offer this prayer of confession together.
Prayer of Confession:
People: Loving God, we have so much to confess. We confess that we have not lived generously. We have not been generous with our time, our energy or our hearts.
We confess that we close our hands and our minds to the needs of this world. We do not follow Your voice. We seek control and comfort over a willingness to follow You. Lord, You give us all that we need and yet we still do not trust You. Free us Lord Jesus from the sins of fear and selfishness, and lead us Holy Spirit into faithful obedience to you. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon:
Leader: The Lord provides for our every need, making the way for us to live life abundantly. Our lives overflow with the gifts of our Savior who hears our pleas for pardon and blesses us with love and mercy. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
People: In the name of Jesus Christ, YOU are forgiven.
