Call to Confession
Leader: The mercy of God is available to all who call on the name of the Lord. We need not hesitate or be afraid, but humbly and boldly confess our sin to God and one another.
Prayer of Confession:
Gracious God,
You are the good Father, the giver of all gifts;
the sustainer and provider of our lives.
We confess that we brush aside
the gifts you have placed inside us.
We discount their worth or we exalt ourselves
because we have them,
instead of simply honoring you by sharing
what you have placed within us.
Forgive us, and free us to embrace and share
All that you give us for your glory.
We confess this in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Pardon
Leader: The pardon of our Father in heaven cannot be undone by our sin. The mercy and grace of Jesus has come to you and covers you.
In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.
People: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
