Then Jesus told them a story: When you see a fig tree or any other tree putting out leaves, you know that summer will soon come. So, when you see these things happening, you know that God’s kingdom will soon be here. You can be sure that some of the people of this generation will still be alive when all of this takes place.
Watch out and keep praying that you can escape all that is going to happen and that the Son of Man will be pleased with you.” Luke 21:29-33, 36
Station 3
Spring gives us a time of new blooms and new life. The grass and trees and air seem to wake up from their winter slumber. Our Giving Garden produces new fruit to share with our neighbors. The flower garden gives us new beauty, and our herb garden new spices to give flavor to our world. God brings forth new things every Spring through creation. But we are to stay alert so we don’t miss it!
What are the signs of life and hope that I see around me?
What words of Jesus give me life and give me hope?
What new things is God springing forth in my life?
Find a space to be still and listen for God speaking to you. Use this time to watch and pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. God may or may not reveal the new that is coming to your life just now, but use this time to practice staying alert, so that throughout the weeks to come, you might notice the nudging of the Spirit. Move toward the large tree for station four.
