Leader: Confession allows us to release the pain and struggle inside us in the safety of God’s mercy and grace. Therefore, let us share in this confession:
Prayer of Confession
Gracious God, we confess that we have not loved you with our whole heart. We are so consumed by our own lives that we don’t have the time or energy to get to know our neighbor. We allow shame and arrogance to overshadow the freedom your forgiveness offers us, and sometimes we even fear the way your love changes our lives. Please help us to live out of the freedom and healing your love brings to all who call on your name.
Pardon
Leader: The Lord is gracious and full of mercy. The resurrected Christ is with us in all of our struggles and also in our sin. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven.
People: In Jesus Christ you are forgiven!
