Health Ministry

We believe that keeping our bodies healthy is an important part of our spiritual journey.  Improving Health means seeking to improve our body, mind and spirit. The Improving Health Ministry at Franklin First UMC seeks to promote wholeness of the self, in every phase of your life and in every part of your spiritual journey.

For more information about the Health Ministry, contact Suzy Beck at suzypage1@att.net.

  • Blood Pressure Screenings

As part of our Wellness Program, blood pressure screening is available each Sunday at our Main Campus at Mack Hatcher from 9:30 – 10 a.m. There are qualified health-care providers available to do the screening. The location for blood pressure checks is on the first floor near the Connection Center.

  • Mobility Closet

This is a collection of home health care equipment like crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, canes, bathroom assistive devices, etc… that has been donated and is available for use on a temporary basis by contacting the church office at 615-794-2734 or contact Carmen Greenwald at cgreenwald@franklinfumc.org.

  • If you are struggling with depression, this confidential small group might be helpful. It includes prayer, confidentiality, regular attendance and respect for each other.
