Make sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, January 30 from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. at Franklin First UMC’s Main Campus where First UMC Men will be hosting the Honorable Mr. Jimmy Gentry. The Living Legacy of Jimmy Gentry film traces the life of 80+ year old Jimmy Gentry from his depression-era boyhood in historic Franklin, TN, to his military service in WWII, to his life-altering experiences as one of the first liberating soldiers through the gates at the infamous Dachau concentration camp, to his over 50 years as a renowned football coach. The film travels with Gentry back to Dachau, 62 years after he went through the gates as a young soldier in April, 1945. Food, coffee and juice will be provided.
